SUMMARY:A Christmas Story: The Musical
DESCRIPTION:Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman\, Indiana\, the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Rebuffed at every turn with a similar echoing response\, Ralphie plots numerous schemes to achieve his desperate desire for the coveted BB gun. \nThis musical\, which received rave reviews on its Broadway run\, is based on the movie classic that runs round-the-clock on television every Christmas. All the iconic scenes from the movie are here: Ralphie’s friend\, Flick\, getting his tongue stuck to the flagpole; his brother\, Randy\, getting dressed in his snowsuit; the bullies\, Farkus and Dill; the leg lamp award; the bunny suit; Christmas dinner; and many others.

When Professor Henry Higgins tries to teach her how to speak like a proper lady\, an unlikely friendship begins to flourish. \nBased on George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion\, My Fair Lady is that rare musical by which all others are measured. The tale of a cockney flower girl transformed into an elegant lady features one of musical theatre’s greatest scores\, including: “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?\,” “With a Little Bit of Luck\,” “The Rain in Spain\,” “I Could Have Danced All Night\,” “On the Street Where You Live\,” “Get Me to the Church on Time\,” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.” \nWhen Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady opened on Broadway\, it collected six Tony Awards\, including Best Musical\, while the film version took home eight Oscars\, including Best Picture.

Despite their celebrated reputation\, the two old men have not spoken in twelve years. Besides remastering their sketch\, the two men have numerous issues to work out before they are ready to return to the public eye.
